Philip K. Dick is best known for his novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, the basis for Blade Runner (a very loose adaptation I must point out).

The Roses is a good example of why remakes actually do have a place in film, despite what many people think. Remakes give filmmakers a chance to tell a story from a different perspective or in a different way.

Having seen this film at least five times, I’m only now coming to terms with its brilliance…

This magnum opus from Kurt Russell’s heyday reminds one of a time when movies existed seemingly for their own sake; rather than a line in a ledger, they were works of art instead of an appeal for relevance, or a “statement”.
